ट्रेन-इटालिया और सूर्यास्त

एक जुलाई २००७ को कामेरिनो (Camerino, MC) से सियेना (Siena, Tuscany, Italy) के लिये निकले (मैं और अली), पाँच घन्टे का सफर एक बस और ५ अलग अलग रेल गाड़ियों से तय किया। भाग्यशाली रहे कि कोई गाड़ी छूटी नही।

पहला चित्र एक क्षेत्रीय रेल के डिब्बे के अन्दर का।

और ये दूसरा, डिब्बे के बाहर का दृश्य, अस्त होते हुए सूर्य का।

खिड़की के शीशे पर बारिश की बूंदें

 

तन को छूती, पर मन को भिगोती बूंदे 

 बादल से निकल .. धरती को चूमती बूंदें..

कभी थमी सी.. कभी घनघोर बरसती बूंदें..

गालों को छूती.. बालों से गुजरी बूंदें...

कितना बरसी.. फ़िर भी तरसती बूंदें..

दो हफ़्ते की जोरदार गरमी के बाद आज शाम लगा जैसे यहाँ भी मानसून आ गया। शाम को बारिश थमते ही आवास पर पहुंचे तो खिड़की पर टंगी बूंदें अद्भुत दृश्य उत्पन्न कर रही थीं। मैने कैमरा उठाया और तीसरे शॉट मे काम बन गया :) ।

वैसे इस तस्वीर मे देखने वाली एक ही बूँद है, ऊपर दाहिने कोने मे गोल और चमकती हुई।

इटालियन मे सूरज मुखी को जिरासोले कहते हैं।

जिरा 'क्रिया' है: घूमना (Turn)  और सोले यानी सूरज।

 

             

• Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) is one of the few crop species that originated in North America (most originated in the fertile crescent, Asia or South or Central America).
• Sunflower is an annual, erect, broadleaf plant with a strong taproot and prolific lateral spread of surface roots. Stems are usually round early in the season, angular and woody later in the season, and normally unbranched
• Sunflower leaves are phototropic and will follow the sun's rays with a lag of 120 behind the sun's azimuth. This property has been shown to increase light interception and possibly photosynthesis (प्रकाश सॊश्लेषण).

• The sunflower head is not a single flower (as the name implies) but is made up of 1,000 to 2,000 individual flowers joined at a common receptacle. The flowers around the circumference are ligulate ray flowers without stamens or pistils; the remaining flowers are perfect flowers (with stamens and pistils).

• Anthesis (pollen shedding) begins at the periphery and proceeds to the center of the head. Since many sunflower varieties have a degree of self-incompatibility, pollen movement between plants by insects is important, and bee colonies have generally increased yields.

• Commercially available sunflower varieties contain from 39 to 49% oil in the seed. In 1985-86, sunflower seed was the third largest source of vegetable oil worldwide, following soybean and palm.

• Sunflower oil contains 93% of the energy of US Number 2 diesel fuel (octane rating of 37), and considerable work has been done to explore the potential of sunflower as an alternate fuel source in diesel engines. Blends of sunflower oil and diesel fuel are expected to have greater potential than the burning of pure vegetable oil.

शुक्र-ग्रहण । Venus in the Lap of Moon

सोमवार की रात आसमान में एक अद्भुत खगोलीय नजारा देखने को मिला। पृथ्वी से दिखने वाले सबसे चमकदार ग्रह शुक्र को चंद्रमा से मिलन के लिए आतुर देखा गया। यह अद्भुत खगोलीय घटना पांच साल दो महीने और तीन दिन बाद घटी। अपनी-अपनी कक्षाओं में परिक्रमा करते हुए सोमवार 18th June 2007 की रात पृथ्वी, चंद्रमा और शुक्र एक सीध में आ गए। पृथ्वी और शुक्र के बीच चंद्रमा के आ जाने के कारण शुक्र पर ग्रहण लग गया।

खगोलशास्त्री इसे अंग्रेजी में आकल्टेशन आफ वीनस कहते हैं।

लखनऊ के इंदिरा गांधी नक्षत्रशाला के इंजीनियर (आपरेशन्स) अनिल यादव के मुताबिक इससे पूर्व यह घटना 14 अप्रैल 2002 को घटी थी। उनके मुताबिक लखनऊ में यह ग्रहण रात 9.32 (IST) बजे लगा। ग्रहण की अवधि लगभग 38 मिनट रही।

शाम को जब मुझे बर्लिन से मित्र ने ये सूचना दी तो मै भी अपना कैमरा ले के बाहर (Camerino, Italy Click on the link to see exact street location) निकल गया, जो भी दिखा (with 3x optical zoom Camera) वही उतारने की कोशिश की।

आँख को क्षितिज पर डूबता सूरज लाल दिखायी देता है।

 लेकिन कैमरा कहता है कि सूरज वैसा ही है, जैसा कि दोपहर मे होता है।

Bougainvillea: CSA Park Allahabad

इलाहाबाद (उ. प्र.) के चन्द्र शेखर आजाद पार्क (कम्पनी बाग या अल्फ़्रेड पार्क) के केन्द्रीय भाग की परिधि पर लगे हुए बौगैनविलिया के पुष्प। इसके फूल कफी छोटे और सफेद होते हैं, फूल आने के समय आस पास की बहुत सारी पत्तियाँ गुलाबी रंग की हो जाती हैं।

• The modern day hybrids of Bougainvillea spectabilis (B. Brasiliensis) and B. glabra are among the most beautiful of flowering vines.
• These tropical members of the Nyctaginaceae (Four-O'Clock) family, are very vigorous, evergreen, woody vines with spines.
• Although normally climbers, they can be trained to stay bushy as pot plants, hanging baskets, or as standard 3 or 4 feet high.
• They will bloom beautifully on branches on 18"-20" long. Keep all long shoots cut back to 18"-20" for best bloom.
• The vibrant color of this vine comes not from the small White tubular flowers, but from the 3 large paper-like bracts that surround each flower.

जैसे उड़ि जहाज का पंक्षी (ऊपर की तस्वीर मे), फिरि जहाज पर आवै।

ऊपर एक भवन से परावर्तित होतीँ सूर्य की किरणेँ. 

और नीचे 'बन्दरगाह' पर एक दूर दृष्टि.

Snail~घोंघा

पिछले ५ दिनों से लगातार बारिश हो रही थी, आज शाम थोड़ी धूप निकली तो ये जनाब भी सैर पर निकल पड़े।

पहला चित्र प्राकृतिक प्रकाश मे है, दूसरे चित्र मे फ़्लैश का प्रयोग किया गया है। बहुत पहले जन्तु विज्ञान मे प्रकाश-उद्दीपन-प्रभाव पढा़ था, आज परीक्षण करने का अवसर मिल गया।

चित्र से स्पष्ट है कि तीव्र प्रकाश मे Snail ने अपनी  Antanae (शृंग) के साथ ही शेष शरीर को भी संकुचित कर लिया है।
